Area9 Community

As the market leader in IT in the Northern Territory, Area9 uses this strength to provide assistance to business, industry and community organisations that benefit others. Area9 won the 2011 Telstra Business Awards Social Responsibility Award (NT), in recognition of its efforts in giving back to the community.

Charities

Area9 makes sizeable annual donations to some of its charity customers, plus donations of cash and IT equipment throughout the year to associations, health and disability organisations, schools and indigenous councils.  Area9 also manages the IT infrastructure of a several not for profit and charitable organisations in the Territory. 

Waratah Football Club

Area9 sponsors the Waratah Football Club in Darwin, supporting the club with funding that is used in part to recruit Territorians from remote communities.

Work Experience Placements

For Territory school children, Area9 provides opportunities for those with an interest in IT to join the company for week-long placements. Area9 offered work experience programs to more than 10 local schools, a valuable way to play a small part in the growth of the NT economy.

Bernborough Club NT Charity Golf Day

The Bernborough Club is a non profit organisation, whose objectives include raising money for a range of charitable causes.  Area9 was the major sponsor for the 2011 Charity Golf Day to raise money for Diabetes Association of the NT, who helps raise awareness about diabetes.  Area9 was proud to donate an iPad2, cover and Apple care pack.

The Lord’s Taverners Charity Golf Day

As a charity organisation, it is the aim of the The Lord’s Taverners to raise money through membership, sponsorship, fund raising activities and donations.  As the major sponsor of the 2011 Charity Golf Day, Area9 contributed to the provision of sporting facilities, equipment and opportunities for underprivileged and/or disadvantaged young people.
