Account Manager - Darwin, NT

The Government & Corporate Account Manager is responsible for the development of new business for Area9 within designated government and corporate accounts through traditional account management activities, opportunity management and support of various programs and initiatives relevant to Area9’s business.

Duties include preparation of customer proposals, tender responses, sales reports for the Business Development Director, achieve and maintain relevant sales accreditations for key vendors and work closely with the sales and procurement team.

Skills & Experience required

  • >5 years’ experience in IT solutions sales, account management, business development and/or sales support positions.
  • Previous experience and understanding of tendering processes and strategies.
  • Excellent proposal writing and documentation skills.
  • Relationship building and outstanding negotiation skills.
  • Articulate with excellent communication skills.
  • Understanding of IT and IT products is highly desirable.

Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification in IT or Business-related discipline.

Service Desk Queue Manager - Darwin, NT

The Service Desk Queue Manager will oversee the daily operations of our service desk team consisting of Level 1 and Level 2 engineers and ensure that all tickets are resolved in a timely and professional manner. This role is also responsible for ensuring that quality and operational standards and KPI’s are met and, be the escalation point for customer issues.

Other duties include:

  • Ensure timesheet compliance for the team.
  • Manage service desk phones and job queues.
  • Plan, prioritise and assign tasks.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to Management and Directors. 

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in a technical delivery role.
  • 2+ years’ supervisory or team lead experience within a helpdesk. 
  • High level of customer service skills.

Qualifications required

  • ITIL Certification or similar industry qualification.

Network Engineer – Work from Home anywhere in Australia

We’re seeking an experienced Network Engineer. This role can be based in Darwin, Brisbane or Remotely from home anywhere in Australia.
Our Network Engineers are responsible for delivery and management of network solutions to customers.
In this role you will:

  • Present network solutions to customers;
  • Scope network projects and participate in their implementation, individually or as part of a team;
  • Configure, manage and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless infrastructure, load balancers, WAN accelerators, VPN concentrators, etc from a range of vendors that include Cisco, Meraki, HP, Aruba, Citrix, Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, D-Link, Microsoft and VMware;
  • Review networks for upgrades and improvements;
  • Provide presales technical support to Area9 sales and customers;
  • Liaise with vendors, customers and Area9 management;
  • Be proactive to prevent faults/issues in network environments;
  • Be responsive to customer faults/issues in network environments.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in IT network environment support, proven hands on experience implementing, administering and troubleshooting network infrastructure, including: routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, controllers, WAN optimizers and monitoring applications;
  • 2+ years experience in designing network solutions including implementation for customers; including implementation and/or remediation projects, in network environments that range from simple single sites to complex multi-sites;
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in routing, switching and network security in WAN and LAN environments;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in the *English language, including timely production of clear and concise documentation (written and diagrammatic) of network infrastructure, proposals, changes, reviews etc, and timely & accurate completion of timesheets;
  • The ability to understand and translate a customer's business needs into an appropriate network solution;
  • Proven experience in customer service.

Qualifications

A relevant qualification such as:

  • Cisco CCNA
  • Cisco CCNP
  • Fortinet NSE 4
  • PCNSE
  • System Administration experience and/or qualifications such as Microsoft, VMware, Citrix
  • Specialisations and certifications in areas such as Security, Wireless, VOIP
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or similar industry qualification/experience

Business Development Representative - Brisbane, Queensland

We have a position available for an Business Development Representative. This role will focus on developing new business within the Queensland region.

As a part of Area9’s growing business this role is responsible for driving new IT services business into the commercial and corporate accounts through traditional account management activities, opportunity management and support of various programs and initiatives relevant to Area9’s business. It is a requirement that the successful candidate be located in Queensland, Australia, have a current Drivers Licence and own vehicle or ability to travel.

Duties include:

  • Generation of new and existing account opportunities.
  • Participation in the development and execution of Area9 demand generation campaigns.
  • Preparation of customer proposals, RFQ response support, pursuit and participation as required.
  • Traditional account management through understanding clients’ business objectives of their IT support and product needs throughout the sales cycle and beyond.
  • Working with external vendors/partners and Area9 team members to prepare ICT products and services campaigns and events to optimise market share.
  • Representing Area9 and the associated range of products and services through traditional engagement activities, events, meetings etc.
  • Achieving and maintaining sales accreditation for key Vendor technologies as identified by the business unit director.
  • Familiarisation with Area9’s managed services & solutions and product portfolio.
  • Interacting with a diverse group of partners and clients.
  • Maintaining an understanding of Area9 services and solutions, as well as computer software packages, computer hardware and peripherals and computer operating systems promoted by Area9.
  • Supporting effective processes to manage customer information; tender responses; sales negotiation, prioritisation and communications.
  • Weekly reporting to the Business Development Director.
  • Efficiently utilising the internal support framework and resources of Area9.

Skills & Experience

  • >5 years’ experience in IT solutions opportunity management, account management, business development and/or sales operations.
  • Strong understanding of IT managed services and solutions.
  • Previous experience and understanding of tendering processes and strategies.

Desktop Support Engineer - Darwin, NT

We are seeking Expressions of Interest for Desktop Support Engineers in our Darwin office. 

In this role, you will provide first and second level technical support via telephone and online support tools and provide onsite/desk side support to our valued clients.

Skills & Experience

  • Minimum 2-3 years of IT desktop support experience in Windows Desktop environments.
  • Some Server support experience (Windows 2012-2019).
  • A solid understanding of computer, network and internet technologies.
  • Incident management at first and second level with troubleshooting capability.
