Simon was appointed Area9 Director in March 2009.
Simon’s career has seen him in technology and consulting roles across the globe for IT tech giants such as Hewlett-Packard (HP), Compaq Computers and Digital Equipment Corporation. Prior to joining the leadership team at Area9, Simon was responsible for driving adoption of HP’s enterprise technology and services across the Western Australia, Northern Territory and Pacific Islands and presented regularly throughout the region as a part of HP’s global technology@work initiative. Simon is an active member of the ICT Industry and sits on the ICTIA NT committee, past roles on the Branch Executive of the Australian Computer Society, sits on the NT Ministerial Digital Advisory Committee (MDAC), a previous Board Member of the Services Training Advisory Council (SITAC-NT) and is a Member of the Australia Institute of Company Directors.
Simon holds tertiary qualifications in engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Systems Management.
